From the planning phase until maintenance – here is a step-by-step overview of our full service:

1. Installation and commissioning – how to plan your powertrain:

We provide support to our customers from the outset with the assembly and installation of their powertrain. The most important aspect is the correct alignment of all parts in the machine to avoid any risk for increased wear or failure from the start and guarantee a reliable and low-vibration operation.

2. Condition Monitoring – how to prevent failure:

Constant monitoring of your machines using offline or online condition monitoring prevents unplanned shutdowns and optimizes the machine’s productivity. Sensors transmit real life data of the system’s engine, gearbox, shaft or roller directly to the analysis center of Off-Highway Powertrain Services. During Condition Monitoring, a team carefully surveys the data around the clock in order to intervene promptly in case of any suspicious events.

Condition Monitoring – how does it work?
Starting in 2020, we offer an innovative, newly developed Condition Monitoring Cloud to our customers. Grounded in our long-standing experience and the expertise of our Competence Center, we have combined a professional CM software with an interfacing internet platform. This enables our customers to conduct internal monitoring and autonomous analyses. The Cloud solution lets the customer monitor all critical drive systems and aggregates by using the built-in measuring equipment and pre-defined alarm thresholds – around the clock and from any location. Trends for speed, acceleration, RMS, imbalance, alignment as well as BIAS and speed signal are comparable over an individually determinable time frame. Raw signals and FFT analysis enable a quick overview of the current situation and trend.

3. Custom maintenance measures – technical analysis and recommendations:

In case of any noticeable problems, we contact our customers and give recommendations for further action. Additional methods like vibration analysis, endoscopy, alignment check or thermographic measuring (temperature) yield further insight about the state of your machine.

4. Maintenance and optimization – how to minimize cost of maintenance

Using the data we collected, we will support your focused maintenance, repair and optimization efforts for your powertrain. Our experts are able to recognize and fix any weak points of the powertrain in advance. This lets you plan your maintenance carefully and expensive affairs like exchange of spare parts on spec can be avoided. In our 20 service centres all over the world we overhaul any components of the powertrain and remodel them, if necessary.

3. Components and spare parts – finishing up maintenance

In our service centres all over the world, we manufacture aggregates, clutches, shafts and spare parts with our expertise, and then reinstall them in your machine’s powertrain. This completes a full and coordinated maintenance cycle, all from a single source.
